Learning objectives

This Unit covers the topics of conceptual frameworks for sharing data; and the ways to make data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. At the end of this unit, you will (be able to):

  • Identify benefits of using data creation, management and exchange widely used good practices in agriculture and nutrition

  • recognize the necessary steps to set up an open data repository

  • understand how to advocate for the adoption of open data principles

  • understand and apply the principles of the most important conceptual frameworks for sharing open data

  • make informed decisions on ways to make data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.

  • assess technologies and data standards that better fit their needs

  • (guide developers to) adopt the most interoperable technologies and standards
